Human Resources specialist RAM Solutions wants to motivate employees through an app that opens up the lines of engagement between employees and management.

RAM Solutions says the app, Feet's, provides a platform for increasing social interaction and collaboration, and this generates behavioural data that can help employers make better decisions on workforce needs.

It quoted consulting firm Aon Hewitt’s Trends in Global Employee Report 2018, which found employees in Singapore and Malaysia are the least engaged in Asia – it's hoping to change this with its app which has an Executive Dashboard for real-time tracking of employees’ overall activity, satisfaction and stress levels.

RAM Solutions group managing director Clement Tan says that the app will allow human resource managers to continuously monitor an employee’s engagement and identify appropriate and timely interventions if they appear de-motivated.

“As employees become more mobile with the gig economy taking over, team spirit and loyalty is often lacking and employers are challenged to provide clear value and strategy to position them for growth. Feet’s is primed to help organisations keep their teams in the loop and nurture a sense of belonging,” he says.

RAM Solutions collaborated with University Malaya to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) that formulates questions to promote insightful feedback, which can help managers to initiate more meaningful discussions with their teams, offer a new source of motivation, and create a culture of growth.

Feet’s other features include Makan Buddy Meal Group that suggests nearby places for employees to eat together, weekly quizzes backed by AI, gamification using badges and a reward system to redeem items from brand partners, a forum and a suggestion box.

The app is available on the iOS App Store and Google Play store, with an early adopter subscription rate of US$1(RM4) per user/month.
