Popular messaging platform WhatsApp is finally getting stickers.

Website WABetaInfo reported that the feature which will allow users to share stickers or cutesy images with others will be available in the 2.18.329 update for Android and 2.18.100 for iOS.

It's being rolled out in stages. If you are one of the lucky few to have it, click on the emoji icon (to the left of the text input field) and you will see three icons at the bottom – emoji, GIF and stickers. Tap the stickers icon and pick a sticker pack from the WhatsApp Stickers Store and download it. Then open your pack and choose a sticker to share with a friend in a chat. You can even send more than one stickers at one go with the grouped feature.

According to WABetaInfo, there will be 12 sticker packs ranging from Bimbimbap Friends to Komo, a dinosaur – basically, the same ones you get on Facebook. WhatsApp plans to add more sticker packs later.

A detailed FAQ section on how to use the stickers is on the WhatsApp website

The sticker packs are free – only time will tell if WhatsApp will start charging for stickers in the future.

Some users on social media are showing what it's like to use the stickers feature.
