Alibaba Group Holding Ltd said it will invest an additional $2 billion in Southeast Asian e-commerce firm Lazada Group

Lazada is parking all of its Official Stores under its new LazMall section.

Lazada Group partner support head Partiban Periannan says the new section promises to deliver on three things: 100% authentic products, 15-day easy returns and next-day delivery.

"At LazMall, we aim to offer an online shopping experience of the highest-quality to garner the trust of our customers and provide the convenience they long for," he says, in a post at the Sellers Centre.

LazMall is composed of brand principals, retailers and authorised brand distributors for products ranging from smartphones to clothing and groceries.

With the roll out of the new segment, the Official Store classification will be discontinued on Lazada.

Partiban says the mall will be open to more sellers, if they meet the following criteria:  a substantial number of followers for online brands or adequate distribution of offline stores for retailers, and adequately high operational performance and seller ratings.

Users can confirm that the product they are looking at is being sold by a LazMall partner by checking for a "LazMall" badge that appears on the product image.
