Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco has unveiled a new retro-style scooter with a built-in screen that lets the driver look up weather conditions and petrol stations in the area.

The 128-pound Like II 125i scooter, a reissue of the first Like model from 2009, can be connected to the driver's smartphone and notify them about missed calls, new messages and updates from their social media accounts.

Behind the Italian-designed scooter's distinctly retro look are anti-lock brakes, a 125cc four-stroke engine with 11.6 horsepower.

The newest Like is available at prices starting at US$3,900 (RM15,866). The slimmed-down Like II 125i CBS, which comes without ABS and networking capabilities, starts at US$3,300 (RM13,425). — dpa
