CDOC has noticed that many in the armed forces are using Tik Tok.

The Defence Ministry has issued an order that forbids members of the Malaysian Armed Forces from uploading videos of themselves or their comrades while in uniform on Tik Tok.

The video sharing platform launched in 2016 allows users to watch and produce quick videos using music, stickers and animations as effects. The popular platform has 500 million active global users every month.

The statement on the ministry's official Facebook page states that the Cyber Defence Operation Centre (CDOC), under the purview of the military's intelligence department, has recently noticed that many of the armed forces members are using Tik Tok.
