Life Is Strange is getting a sequel. Part two of the gaming adventure revolving around young Max Caulfield and the mysterious events in her hometown is set for release in September, says publisher Square Enix.

The first new episode of Life Is Strange 2 will be made available on Sept 27 for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4, with a total of five episodes planned. More information on the plot and protagonists of the game has yet to be revealed.

The game The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit, released on June 26, offers a taster. It tells the story of ten-year-old Chris, who would like to be a superhero.

Square Enix says the game is set in the universe as the Life Is Strange series and ties into the overarching story of the sequel, but hasn't revealed how. — dpa
