Malaysian citizens can quickly check where they'll be voting with the Election Commission's website.

Malaysian citizens can now confirm exactly where they will cast their votes in the coming General Election, with the Election Commission (EC) setting up a website for voting information including voting centres.

The single purpose site only requires users to input their Identity card numbers, without symbols or spaces, to find out key information like their locality, voting district, state and parliamentary seats.

Though the name of the voting centre is provided, the exact address is not.

The site also does not require users to answer a captcha, making it quicker to check.

The EC's MySPR Semak app has also been updated with the information on voting centres and voting times (usually 8am to 5pm).

Users will eventually be able to check for the list of candidates running and results of the election, though the data was not yet available.

The app is available on both the Google Play store and Apple App Store
