Google Maps now works in 39 more languages, so you won't get lost in translation.

Google Maps has added 39 new languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, to make it more intuitive for natives to travel.

"Fourteen years ago, Google Maps looked a lot different, and it was only in English. Fast forward to today, and now more than 1 billion people use Google Maps to discover new places, find the best driving, biking, and walking routes, and get things done in the real world," said Google Maps program manager Atsuko Yamagami on The Keyword.

She added Google Maps would be made more useful by adding languages spoken by an estimated 1.25 billion people worldwide.

Several South-East Asian languages like Bahasa Malaysia, Indonesian, and Filipino were added.

Another 36 included Afrikaans, Albanian, Amharic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, Burmese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Georgian, Hebrew, Icelandic, Kazakh, Khmer, Kyrgyz, Lao, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Mongolian, Norwegian, Persian, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swahili, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Vietnamese, and Zulu.

According to the Google Map's help page, users can change the navigation language on Android devices though the service was not yet available on iOS devices.
