Fujifilm introduces the X-H1, the most video-capable member of its premium X Series mirrorless lineup yet, along with two cinema lenses for filming.
According to Fujifilm's site, the X-H1 supports the digital cinema aspect ratio (17:9), records high-quality video at a high bit rate of 200Mbps and features a built-in premium microphone capable of recording in 24bit/48KHz.
It also features the Eterna mode which simulates the output of cinematographic films.
"Characterised by subdued colour presentations and rich shadow tones, this mode can be used at 400% Dynamic Range (equivalent to approximately 12 stops) to attain video recording with a high degree of perfection while substantially reducing colour-grading workload in post processing," it said.
Though it shares the X-T2's 24-megapixel APS-C X-Trans III sensor, it is the first X Series to feature in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), allowing for more stable shots at lower shutter speeds.
The camera has a dynamic log gamma of "F-Log", allowing for recording an uncompressed output to external equipment, plus support for "colour grading" which refers to post-shooting processing of colours and tones for artistic videography.
