The Fall Creators Update enables users to immerse themselves in Microsoft's world of Windows Mixed Reality.

Microsoft is releasing its first major update, called "Windows 10 Fall Creators Update." This notably brings innovation in the field of mixed reality – combining the physical and digital worlds – accompanied by new headsets developed by Microsoft and its partners coming to stores.

"Creativity" is more than ever the watchword with this latest Windows update, in particular with 3D objects and "mixed" reality experiences to enjoy with or without a dedicated headset. Microsoft is going all-out on this technology, with a whole new range of low-cost headsets (US$300/RM1,270), built by Acer, Asus, Dell and HP, due for release from fall in the USA. However, users will also be able to enjoy the technology without a headset, directly via a PC, seeing 3D objects – either self-designed using Paint 3D or from the Remix3D.com community – mixed into real-life surroundings through the PC's camera.
