Not all about the money: Price comparisons don

Intel Core i7-6800K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X – who can decipher the combinations of numbers and letters that chip makers Intel and AMD give to their processors? And how can you decide which one is best for you?

Price comparisons don’t really help. "If you want to buy a car, it’s not enough to compare the price of a model with different dealers," says Christian Herzog from German IT association Bitkom. "It is also not enough to simply compare two laptops when you buy a computer. You have to know what performance you want."
