Gone are the days when gaming rigs are boring and bulky.

Lenovo’s latest gaming PC, the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube, is a futuristic-looking machine with lots of firepower.

The machine has illuminated LED lights, is powered by a sixth generation Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHZ processor, and has 8GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX1070 GDDR5 8GB graphics card. And for storage it has a 2TB 7,200rpm hard disk.

According to Lenovo, the Y710 is more than capable of running games at 4K with the setting on “ultra” and can also handle VR (virtual reality) titles.

“Driven by emergence of videogame streaming, VR and augmented reality as means of enhancing and expanding interactive entertainment, PC gaming is still very relevant today,” said Lenovo country general manager of Malaysia and Singapore Khoo Hung Chuan.

“Despite fierce competition, we still see a strong opportunity to be part of the gaming sector as part of our continued commitment to users.”

The PC comes pre-loaded with Lenovo’s proprietary Nerve Centre app which acts as a one-stop centre for customising the audio setting, LED lighting and network configuration.

Most games today also require a stable Internet connection due to the popularity of multiplayer games.

With this in mind, Lenovo has equipped the Y710 Cube with Killer Double Shot Pro technology, which allows the machine to use both Ethernet and WiFi to get the best speed.

It automatically picks the faster connection for sending high priority data such as gaming and voice traffic while using the slower connection for the rest of the data.
The Y710 Cube is priced at RM6,099 and comes with a three-year on-site warranty.
