CHICAGO: Emergency vehicle sirens may sometimes seem ear-splitting, but they don't always provide drivers enough notice – and they aren't always effective with quieter auto cabins and the growing distractions of audio systems, navigation systems and smartphones.
A startup, HAAS, is looking to help alert drivers to those approaching vehicles.
