New and improved: Version 4.0 of Waze is said to lessen battery consumption.

The popular navigation app Waze has just released a new version for iOS, with Android to follow.

The company says the 4.0 version of the app features a brighter, cleaner look and makes the app's features accessible via fewer taps than before.

For example, tapping the left button will bring up the navigation menu plus frequent and favorite destinations, while tapping the right button will bring up contacts and more.

The report button is located right on the map with a big orange button, and a quick report action can be activated by tapping and holding down the report menu.

Version 4.0 is also said to significantly reduces battery consumption.
