Big-name studios team up on charity game jam

Pitching in: Released 20 years ago, the album "Help" was a collaboration among star-studded musicians in support of charity War Child. This year, game developers lend a hand.

A star-studded roster of game developers are to team up for a game jam, with proceeds from the resulting effort to go to the charity War Child. 

A game jam sees participants collaborate on the planning, design and creation of one or more games within a fixed time span. Among the studios set to participate are 343, Creative Assembly, Team 17, Sports Interactive, Bossa Studios and Spilt Milk – all of whom (and more) will work together over six days to get a game off the ground.
