There was some doubt as to whether Apple would announce any new hardware at this year’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) -- after all, the company had just launched the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus near the end of last year and the Apple Watch has only started arriving in the hands of consumers in a limited number of countries.
There was some talk about the launch of a new Apple TV to replace the current model, but there was also an equal number of rumours saying that the device wouldn’t be ready in time for WWDC.
