THE MIGHTY S-PEN: Julian Thean says the S-Pen will be available with Samsung's Galaxy Tab A tablets.

The tablet has a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 16Gb of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB with MicroSD).

The Tab A tablets will come with 100GB of OneDrive online storage for free for two years, an offer the company started with its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Users will also get Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point productivity apps preloaded with the tablets.

Samsung will throw in RM2,000 worth of freebies with the Tab A. This includes a six-month subscription to Parallels Access for accessing computers remotely, three months of free Audible membership for listening to audiobooks and one book free every month through Kindle for Samsung.

The Tab A, which runs on Android Lollipop with Touchwiz UI, will be available in two sizes — 8in and 9.7in. Both devices will have a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels.

The Tab A will be available from May 15 in three colours –  Sandy White, Sandy Black and Smoky Titanium at RM1,299 for the 8in model and RM1,599 for 9.7in.
