Time to shine: Innovative minds with technology ideas suited for the financial sector can sign up for the #MaybankFinTech program.

If financial technology is your forte and you’ve got an idea in mind that you would like to bring to life, you can grab a chance to showcase it through the #MaybankFinTech programme.

Organised in collaboration with technology startup accelerator, 1337 Ventures, this three-part program seeks to select top ideas which can be adopted by Maybank.

The first part involves a series of roadshows that will take place across four Southeast Asian cities (Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur) throughout the month of April.

Interested parties can submit their ideas during these events which are called Ignite sessions. The closing date for idea submissions is May 29. Applications must be in the form of a one minute video pitch.

After that, 20 top ideas will be selected. The respective applicants would then be invited to attend a three-day bootcamp in Kuala Lumpur in June. Return flight tickets and accommodation will be provided for up to two team members per application.

At the end of the three days, each team will have the chance to pitch their ideas to Maybank executives over a three-minute session. Any ideas that are chosen at this stage will then be developed further with the help of Maybank and 1337 Ventures.

The organisers will be focusing on seven main areas for this program: channels; digital and mobile; payments; operational excellence; sales effectiveness; responsible banking; and business and operational models.

If you are keen on taking part in this program, you can register at http://www.maybankfintech.com/. Email any enquiries you may have to info@1337ventures.net.
