CHALLENGING AMAZON: Google is looking to move further into online retail.

According to the Wall Street Journal Google is set to add a "buy" button to search results on its Google Shopping service.

At the moment, when using Google Shopping, clicking on an item for purchase takes the user through to the site in question where the online deal is done. Google wants to remove the layers between discovery and delivery and a buy button would keep consumers on its platform.
