Undersea cable fault causes Net slowdown for Malaysians

Many Malaysian Internet users have been experiencing a slowdown in Internet speed over the last three days or so because of a fault that has developed in the Asia America Gateway (AAG) undersea cable that connects Asia to the United States.

The AAG is a 20,000km fibre-optic submarine cable that provides connectivity for most of Asia including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Guam and Philippines with the United States.
