South Korean tech company Samsung's latest addition to its midrange offerings will soon be hitting Malaysian shores, with the Galaxy A57 and A37 launching on April 10 following their global unveiling late last month.

The Galaxy A57 features a 6.7in Amoled display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, with a 12-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera positioned at the top of the screen.

Meanwhile, the back of the device has a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel wide-angle main shooter with optical image stabilisation, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

According to Samsung, the A57's camera system includes an improved Image Signal Processor (ISP) and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve imaging performance in low-light scenarios.

Keeping everything powered is a 5,000mAh battery, which the company says can last up to two days on a single charge. It also charges up to 60% in 30 minutes.

The Galaxy A57 comes in three colour options: Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, and Awesome IcyBlue, while being priced at RM2,399 for the 256GB model, and RM2,699 for the 512GB model. Both variants are equipped with 12GB RAM.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A37 similarly has a 6.7in Amoled 120Hz-capable screen. It also has a similar triple camera setup, with a 50-megapixel main wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

Like the Galaxy A57, the A37 also includes improved low-light imaging due to an upgraded ISP and the use of AI. On the front, the device has a 12-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera.

That’s not where the similarities end, with the A37 also packing a 5,000mAh battery that promises similar longevity and charging performance.

The Galaxy A37 comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, and Awesome Graygreen, with the choice between a 12GB RAM model (RM1,999) and an 8GB RAM model (RM1,899). Both options have 256GB internal storage.

The devices also include a selection of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features, including voice transcription and image editing tools, alongside 5G connectivity, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating and NFC support.

Samsung also promises support for at least six operating system upgrades, along with six years' worth of security updates on the devices.

Samsung is also offering a launch rebate promotion on the devices until Dec 31, with the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage Galaxy A57 5G receiving a RM300 rebate, and the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version getting RM150 off.

Meanwhile, customers who purchase either of the two versions of the Galaxy A37 will receive an RM100 launch rebate.
