A new feature currently being tested by a number of YouTube channel owners could help content creators kickstart new ideas and reduce dependence on often distracting on-screen advertising.

Now, YouTube viewers in the US, Australia, Japan and Mexico can click on a button to donate money to channel owners; the idea is to let the viewers show how much they appreciate what the channel is doing and to help them keep up the good work.
