A new partnership known as the Inti Corporate Partner (ICP) initiative has been formed between carrier neutral data centre and managed services provider, Aims Group, and higher education institute, Inti International University and Colleges (Inti).

This partnership will enable students at Inti to benefit from first hand industry expertise and knowledge delivered through talks given by Aims employees. Internship opportunities will also be granted to the students.

Jeffery Goh, chief executive of Inti International College Kuala Lumpur, shared that the objective of this partnership was to “mould a generation of highly skilled employees from Inti.”

“Gartner’s research findings strongly indicate that one of the current global problems is the lack of relevant talents as students are not equipped with the right set of industry specific skills,” Chiew Kok Hin, chief executive officer of Aims said.

“This is precisely why Aims has embarked on this partnership with Inti, which is to contribute our industry expertise by providing our input into academic programmes to ensure that they are industry relevant and are in tandem with changes that affect the industry.”

ICP is also expected to benefit Aims employees by providing them with a platform to give back to society by sharing their expertise with Inti students. In addition, employees who are seeking to further their studies can also enjoy scholarships and fee rebates at Inti.

“We hope that more corporate partners such as Aims will come forward to collaborate with us in order to provide our students with the right skill sets and competencies that are critical to the growth and future of our nation,” Goh said.
