Report: Amazon smartphone "three to six months away"

A leading tech analyst claims Amazon will have high-specification handset that responds to hand gestures on sale before the end of this year. 

In a note to his clients, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote, "We predict Amazon (US) will launch its own brand smartphone in three to six months, using the same hardware strategy as used for its e-reader and tablet. The supply chain will start stocking up materials in 2Q14 for production.
