The results of a study, from Kantar ComTech and first reported by The Guardian, show that 42% of consumers that plump for a phablet choose to move to a phone with a sub-5in screen when it comes to upgrading or renewing a contract.
As well as devices with 5in + displays, Kantar's research, based on rolling interviews with a panel of 56,000 European smartphone owners, highlights how consumers move from one device to another based on all common screen sizes.
