CES 2014: Nikon’s D3300 gets smaller, lighter lens

As part of the run up to the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 in Las Vegas, Nikon has announced its new entry-level DSLR, the D3300. 

With the D3300, Nikon has opted to keep the APS-C sensor at 24.2-megapixels (similar to the D3200) but with the added sharpness obtained from the removal of the optical low-pass filter.
