Infor, the third largest enterprise software provider in the world, is targeting double-digit growth in the region in the next three years.
“Infor is focusing its investment in Asia Pacific more than the matured markets around the world,” said Infor executive vice-president for product strategy, research and development, Soma Somasundaram (pic).
The region contributes almost 10% of Infor’s total global revenue of US$2.8bil (RM8.9bil).
“The investments include building partner ecosystem, expanding its partner channels, building implementation capabilities and growing our branding in the region,” he said.
Infor is in a unique position because its programs are specifically built for a particular business or industry which enables its customers to deploy quickly without customisation, he said.
“Integration between Infor software and non-Infor programs is also simple as we have our our middleware layer to do the job,” he said.
The enterprise software company said it has taken great pain to improve the user experience for its software to make it contextual and social which it believes will help transform employees into knowledge workers.
It also claims it’s the only one that has fused social collaboration into the business process for enterprise software.
Its social collaboration platform is called Ming.le (pronounced mingle) and it expects to change the way employees interact with the software and each other.
Ming.le is embedded within its systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Human Capital Management (HCM)
It has redefined the way users communicate ,collaborate and share in an enterprise system as it gives them real-time information from the internal network, he said.
Its existing customers include DRB-HICOM Bhd, UMW Corporation Sdn Bhd and APM Automotive Holdings, and Infor is planning to increase its footprint in the automotive and food and beverages industry here.
