WESTERN Digital has introduced its My Passport Enterprise portable hard drive, designed for use with Microsoft’s Windows To Go.
Windows To Go is a full-featured Windows 8 Enterprise workspace that can be stored on an external drive such as the My Passport Enterprise.
It’ll work with any machine running on Windows 7 or 8 operating system.
WD says it’ll securely transform any compatible PC into the employees’ desktop workspace but without leaving any traces of data on the host computer.
My Passport offers 500 GB of storage capacity in a compact enclosure that easily fits in a pocket or briefcase.
It uses USB 3.0 for fast data transfer rates which will also help boot up Windows To Go faster. The portable hard drive is available now for RM319.
