ORLANDO (Florida): The BlackBerry World conference in Florida this year not only had the usual hardware introductions and developer sessions, but also featured a couple of surprises, like the appearance of Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer plugging Bing on the BlackBerry and an interesting albeit esoteric talk on innovation by writer Malcolm Gladwell and Segway inventor Dean Kamen.
At his keynote, president and co-CEO of RIM, Mike Lazaridis spent a good part of it touting the benefits of the BlackBerry PlayBook, the 7in Tablet computer from the company.
