3G users swapping to broadband

CYBERJAYA: About 600,000 out of the 7.9 million users of the 3G (third-generation cellular) service have changed to the broadband service, said Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.

“This is a significant figure and shows that the policy adopted by the Government has made an impact,” he said in his speech at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) Aidilfitri Open House here.
