AEA spotlights Kaspersky Lab chief executive

PUTRAJAYA: Kaspersky Lab co-founder and CEO, Eugene Kaspersky, has been named International Distinguished Entrepreneur for Growth and Expansion by the Asia Entrepreneur Alliance.

The award is presented to the CEO and entrepreneur who is responsible for the largest expansion of a company in Asia.

“This recognition would not have been possible without the Kaspersky Lab team in Asia Pacific,” Eugene Kaspersky said in a press release.

He said the recognition gives his company a boost in confidence to capture even more market share in Malaysia and the rest of Asia Pacific.

Kaspersky Lab has 50% of the personal information technology software market in Malaysia and is looking to increase that this year, he said.

The company offers a wide range of protection against viruses, spyware, hackers and spam.

Asia Entrepreneur Alliance is an international not-for-profit business organisation, which comprises entrepreneurs from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, India, Australia, the United States and Africa.
