More consumer offerings from Lenovo

KUALA LUMPUR: Lenovo recently launched several new products to refresh its consumer notebook and all-in-one (AIO) desktop lines. Some of the highlights from the launch are the Lenovo IdeaPad Y560, the ThinkPad Edge and IdeaCentre A300.

The IdeaPad Y560 is a powerful multimedia-centric machine that boasts a 15.6in HD widescreen that’s ideal for both movies and games. An entertainment machine through and through, it also comes with a Blu-ray combo drive as well as JBL-designed speakers for better sound delivery.

It is powered by an Intel Core i7-720QM (1.6GHz) processor and features an ATI Radeon 5730 DDR3 1024M graphics processor.

A new edge

Mixing both leisure and work together, Lenovo’s ThinkPad Edge is a fun notebook that comes in a variety of different colours. The ThinkPad Edge offers some useful features such as a spill-resistant chiclet keyboard, an Active Protection System to protect the hard disk, gesture-supported multi-touch touchpad and an enhanced webcam for better video quality.

Inside this 14in screen notebook is an Intel Core i5-430M (2.26GHz) processor and 4GB of RAM as well as an nVidia NVS 3100M graphics processor.

Other notable features of the ThinkPad Edge include a dual-layer DVD drive and 500GB of storage space.

IdeaCentre refreshed

Lenovo also updated its AIOs with the introduction of the super slim IdeaCentre A300. Although it features a 21.5in widescreen LED monitor, it still manages to keeps a slim profile that’s only 18mm thick.

It runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 (2.2GHz) processor, 4GB of RAM and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500.

The A300 comes with HDMI in/out ports and TV tuner support. It’s capable both of displaying content from other devices such as a Blu-ray player or PlayStation3 as well as act as a standalone TV.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560, ThinkPad Edge and IdeaCentre A300 are available now at RM4,999, RM4,799 and RM3,299 respectively.
