Festival Mega iLINDUNGu returns with 80% discount for employers, over 2,000 job vacancies

PERKESO is offering discounts of up to 80% on interest on late contribution benefits (FCLB) throughout the three-day event, running from Sept 18 to 20.

EMPLOYERS with outstanding social security contributions have a good reason to head to Strand Mall in Kota Damansara this weekend.

The Social Security Organisation (PERKESO)’s Festival Mega iLINDUNGu is offering discounts of up to 80% on interest on late contribution benefits (FCLB) throughout the three-day event, which runs from Sept 18 to 20, from 10am to 10pm daily.

Now in its third edition, the festival is expected to draw up to 60,000 visitors under this year’s theme, “Kesuma Bersama Rakyat”, an initiative under the Human Resources Ministry (Kesuma) to bring government services directly to the public.

One-stop hub for employers and job seekers

Beyond the FCLB discount, employers and contributors who previously opted out of Lindung 24 Jam – PERKESO's round-the-clock accident protection scheme for workers – can visit a dedicated counter at the festival to opt back in to the scheme.

Job seekers are equally catered for as MYFutureJobs will hold its Karnival Lindung Kerjaya at the festival, bringing together 25 employers offering more than 2,000 job vacancies, alongside resume guidance and job-matching support for attendees.

The event marks the coordinated participation of 11 agencies under Kesuma, including the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit, Human Resource Development Corporation, Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and Skills Development Fund Corporation, giving visitors access to a broad range of employment, skills development and worker welfare services under one roof.

PERKESO will also provide various free services on-site, including health screenings, helmet distribution, contribution status checks and benefits consultations.

More than 500 motorcyclists are set to receive special helmet stickers promoting social protection awareness, and visitors can enter a lucky draw with a motorcycle as the grand prize.

Food lovers won't be left out either, as over 60 F&B vendors registered under Lindung Kendiri, including Sushika and Kunafa Aiwahhh, will be present, with discount coupons available for the first 100 visitors.

The festival will also feature meet-and-greet sessions, talk segments and podcasts with local celebrities and influencers, including Kamal Adli, Elly Mazlein, Amyza Adnan, Zila Bakarin, Maria Tunku Sabri, Sathiya Kandi, Syazwan Syahmi and Marc Saddique.

Other activities include a Zumba competition with Sathiya Kandi, a children's fashion competition with Elly Mazlein, colouring contests, the Lindung quiz, a Talent Scout session with Anne Ngasri, and the Dapur iLINDUNGu cooking segment featuring local celebrities.

Visitors can also hear real-life stories from insured persons, including Lindung 24 Jam beneficiaries, and catch sessions with artiste Zarul Umbrella and actor Fahrin Ahmad on health, career and life topics.

Live performances round out the weekend with Andi Bernadee, Azza, Abby Abadi and Cherpen taking the stage on Sept 18, followed by Kartika and Sofazr on Sept 19, and Kristal X and XPDC closing the festival on Sept 20.

The official launch will be officiated by Kesuma Minister Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan.

With its mix of financial incentives, employment opportunities, free services and family entertainment, Festival Mega iLINDUNGu aims to bring social protection closer to Malaysians while reinforcing PERKESO's role as the nation's primary safety net for workers and their families.
