TALENTBANK has officially unveiled the winners of the Graduates’ Choice Award (GCA) 2026, recognising Malaysia’s most sought-after employers, voted entirely by university students nationwide.
Now in its eighth consecutive year, GCA remains the nation’s largest student-driven employer benchmark.
This year, more than 740,000 cumulative votes were cast by students from over 100 universities across the country, making it the most extensive employer perception study in the graduate market.
Unlike panel-judged awards, GCA is 100% driven by student voices, offering employers and policymakers direct insight into how Malaysia’s emerging workforce evaluates career opportunities.
To ensure the benchmark remains relevant and methodologically robust, the survey instruments are reviewed every two years at the Graduate Employability Bootcamp alongside policymakers.
GCA 2026’s winners represent the highest-ranked organisations across major sectors, including financial services, technology, fast-moving consumer goods, healthcare, telecommunications, energy, professional services and digital platforms.
These employers secured top positions based on student brand evaluations and impressions. Subsequent research by Talentbank into working preferences revealed that, beyond salary, five critical dimensions drive graduate decisions: career growth opportunities, job role and responsibilities, work-life balance, benefits and compensation, and company reputation.

The results reflect how Malaysia’s emerging workforce assesses organisations before entering full-time employment, placing strong emphasis on long-term career development, meaningful job scopes, and organisational credibility.
Collectively, GCA 2026 winners set the benchmark for employer branding excellence and talent attractiveness in the graduate employment landscape.
Talentbank chief executive officer Ben Ho said this year’s results send a strong and measurable signal to the market, adding that in an increasingly competitive talent landscape, understanding graduate expectations is no longer optional.
“The 2026 winners represent the organisations that have earned genuine trust and confidence from Malaysia’s university students. This is a direct reflection of market perception,” he said.
“Employers who align with graduate priorities today will secure stronger talent pipelines tomorrow.”

The winning organisations span a range of industries, demonstrating that employer excellence is not confined to a single sector.
From multinational corporations to domestic enterprises, this year’s rankings highlight companies that have successfully positioned themselves as employers of choice among young talent.
As an authoritative student-driven employer benchmark, GCA has become a strategic reference point for employer branding across industries.
Organisations that rank highly signal strong employer brand appeal among graduates, making them well-positioned to attract top early-career talent in an increasingly competitive labour market.
For students, the benchmark offers a trusted reference when navigating career decisions.

The 2026 results reinforce a clear message: employers that combine growth opportunities, meaningful roles and strong reputations are leading the race for Malaysia’s future talent.
Following the announcement of the 2026 winners, voting for GCA 2027 is now officially open.
