Electrical safety measures during and after flood

AS Malaysia continues to experience unpredictable weather patterns, prioritising safety from electrical hazards remains paramount.

To help protect lives and property, Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has issued essential electrical safety measures that residents should follow during this season.

During a flood, the most important action is to immediately switch off the main electrical supply before evacuation to prevent the risk of electrocution.

Strictly avoid touching any electrical appliances or cables submerged in flood water, even if they appear insulated.

Once the flood waters have receded, any submerged wall switches and electrical appliances should be inspected and tested by a certified electrician before using them.

Your safety comes first. Follow these guidelines and prioritise the well-being of yourself and your loved ones during this monsoon season.
