HOMEDEC is where the art is

More than RM800,000 in cash and prizes to be won at HOMEDEC (April 28-May 1).

THE Home Design and Interior Exhibition (HOMEDEC) is set to bring innovative designs, inspiring ideas and sensational offers to the Klang Valley when it takes place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from April 28 to May 1.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, HOMEDEC continues to be the premier “home planner” for homeowners and design enthusiasts – showcasing the latest in home design, renovation and interior decoration.

This year's theme, Celebration of Occasions, focuses on creating memorable living spaces for every occasion, highlighting milestones and cherishing unforgettable moments in our lives.

As the Malaysian property market flourishes, homeownership is increasingly becoming a reality for many. In 3Q2022, the market experienced a significant surge in property transactions valued at RM46.3bil – a substantial 12.6% increase compared to 2Q2022.

“The surge in the property market makes renovation and interior design services more in demand,” says C.I.S. president and HOMEDEC organiser Datuk Vincent Lim.

“HOMEDEC therefore becomes the ideal platform for homeowners and design enthusiasts to discover the latest trends and technologies in home design and décor.”

This year, there will be a cumulative total of over RM800,000 in cash and prizes to be given away at the exhibitions in April and October.

With a minimum purchase (subject to terms and conditions) and while stocks last, visitors can enjoy a gift with purchase deal and a chance to win cash or prizes in the HOMEDEC contest, including the RM60,000 home makeover package star prize.

The exhibition in April features the debut of the Designer Showhomes & Shop the Look showcase, whereby visitors could immerse themselves in a world of inspirational and breath-taking concepts that fire the imagination.

At the Live Kitchen event, celebrity chefs will share culinary techniques, kitchen hacks, and the latest gadgets and recipes in a one-of-a-kind kitchen setup.

Meanwhile, HOMEDEC’s concurrent exhibition AGExpo (Asean Senior Care & Wellness Expo) is a one-stop centre for the latest solutions in senior care.

According to the Department of Statistics, Malaysia is projected to have an ageing population by 2030, with 15.3% of its population aged 60 years and above. In another 24 years, the country will transition from an ageing to an aged society.

In view of this impending demographic shift, AGExpo addresses the need for senior living solutions – offering products and services that can enhance quality of life of the elderly.

AGExpo is spearheaded by C.I.S. and jointly organised with the National Council of Senior Citizens Organisation Malaysia (Nacscom), in collaboration with the Malaysian Coalition on Ageing (MCOA).

Visitors to HOMEDEC and AGExpo will find a plethora of industry-leading exhibitors, experts, and speakers who will share insights and expertise in their respective fields.
