How OPPO ColorOS 12 could improve your lifestyle

AS movement restrictions are loosened and borders begin to open, it is easy to get lost in the noise when getting back to the hustle and bustle of daily life.

While there are some productivity methods and apps to help us get back into the groove, companies such as OPPO have taken it up a notch by introducing its latest operating system.

OPPO just released its new ColorOS 12 operating system (global version) based on Android 12, making it one of the first smart devices to release Android 12.

This includes an all-new inclusive UI, smoother performance, and rich features that help boost your everyday productivity as well as achieve better work-life balance.

Here are four reasons why the new operating system could improve your lifestyle:

1. Inclusive design

The new operating system introduces a new UI language which focuses on reducing noise with more spaced-out page layouts, increased text contrast, and prioritising colour shades.

OPPO included its Quantum Animation Engine 3.0 to add some 300 new animations. The company aims to make UI interactions more realistic, intuitive and smoother by “imitating physical habits of resistance, inertia and rebound”.

To add in more of your personality, ColorOS 12’s 3D animated emojis called Omoji uses Oppo’s face capture algorithm for you to customise your avatars – by adjusting skin colour, hair, eyes to name a few – and it mimics facial expressions in real-time.

2. Privacy protection

The last thing you want to worry about are people watching you use your phone when in public.

ColorOS 12 has got you covered with the help of its AI-enhanced smart sensor, anti-peeping notifications.

When enabled, detailed notification content will be hidden if the AI-enhanced smart sensor detects someone looking at your phone when you receive new messages.

3. Smart efficiency

While you are on the go, the one-tap power saving mode could extend battery life such as disabling background activities, enabling auto brightness, disabling high performance mode and more.

Besides that, by 2021 year end, ColorOS 12 will alert you if there are power-draining activities or abnormal power consumption have been detected. It would also list power-draining apps and give you the option of closing them to prolong battery life.

4. Lasting smoothness

In line with its intuitive features, the AI System Booster analyses your habits to accurately identify the processes needed to ensure apps in the foreground run smoothly.

Based on OPPO labs test, AI System Booster reduces RAM use by 30% and prolongs battery life by some 12%.

ColorOS 12 rollout plan

OPPO aims to bring its new operating system to some 110 models reaching 150 million users.

The ColorOS 12 will first grace the shores of Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia in the form of public beta on the Find X3 Pro 5G.

After which, the company will continue step-by-step in other countries and on additional devices through the rest of 2021 and 2022.
