HELPING SENIOR FOLKS DURING FESTIVE SEASON

Embracing the spirit of sharing and giving during this festive season, the Curve has put a smile on the faces of folks in their golden years at Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur.

In an effort to ease the burden and lift the spirits of those less fortunate amidst the pandemic, representatives from the Curve visited a nearby old folks’ home, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur, to donate an array of daily necessities such as rice, oil, flour, sugar and other groceries, along with face masks and hand sanitisers for its 15 senior residents.

As a festive treat, ang pow packets were also distributed to the caretakers and senior folks.

“During this special occasion, it is all the more important to share joy with those who are less privileged, where giving back can truly make a difference.

“While we are not able to hold our Chinese New Year celebrations as we have done every year with charitable organisations, we took the opportunity to donate much-needed groceries and other essential goods to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur.

“We hope this will be of assistance to the home and make the celebrations brighter for the residents, to usher in a better year ahead, ” said the Curve senior general manager Jazmi Kamarudin.

Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur representative Lim Yee Siang thanked the Curve for their generosity.

“We value the Curve’s support and their contributions to bring happiness to our senior residents this Chinese New Year.

Their generosity will definitely be helpful, especially amidst this unprecedented situation, ” he said.

In keeping with the Chinese New Year celebration, the Curve had adjusted its festive campaign under strict adherence to the MCO 2.0 regulations in order to lift the spirits of patrons for a much-needed break from being at home. The patrons were treated to a thematic décor at the mall, inspired by the 1960s era.

The essential and non-essential services, food and beverage and other approved outlets remained open and operated within the limits of the MCO 2.0 guideline.
