Mohd Agil to end year as Malaysian No.1

KUALA LUMPUR: Syed Mohd Agil Syed Naguib will reclaim his national No. 1 ranking after lifting both the singles and doubles title at the fifth leg of the BMW National Tennis Circuit.

Yesterday, the 20-year-old defeated Ahmed Deedat Abdul Razak 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 for his second men’s singles crown of the season before teaming up with Mohd Assri Merzuki to demolish Abdul Hazli Zainuddin-Razlan Rawi 6-1, 6-1 at the Tun Razak Tennis Complex in Jalan Duta.
