Bittersweet as Hoe Yean breaks national record but settles for bronze


PETALING JAYA: It was a bittersweet outing for Federal Territories’ Khiew Hoe Yean on the second day of the Malaysian Open swimming championships at the National Aquatics Centre in Bukit Jalil yesterday.

The 20-year-old swimmer set a new record in the 200m individual medley but had to settle for the bronze medal.
