SWIMMER Jayden Tan Khai Xin’s (pic) hope of breaking his national record in the men’s 400m individual medley did not materialise after he finished ninth in the final at Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

Jayden clocked 4:23.99s, just slightly outside his national mark of 4:23.24s set at the Cambodia SEA Games in 2023.
