Cheerful: Nouran Gohar at the Egyptian Open. — PSA Squash Tour

PETALING JAYA: Marriage and motherhood may have changed former world No. 1 squash player Nouran Gohar’s lifestyle, but it did not stop her from adapting to tricky conditions and storming into the Egyptian Open semi-finals.

The 29-year-old, who is competing after returning to squash last month following the birth of her first child, put on a superb performance on home soil by beating long-time rival and compatriot Nour El Sherbini in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
