Joachim clears first hurdle but world No. 1 looms next

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s rising squash star Joachim Chuah continued his stellar run on tour, dispatching Switzerland’s Nicolas Mueller in the opening round of the Egyptian Open in Cairo on Saturday.

Joachim, who was ranked 106th globally in July, has been steadily rising up the rankings and entered the tournament on the back of a title at the Nash Cup in London last month.
