PETALING JAYA: National top squash player S. Sivasangari stayed on course to defend her Asian Games individual crown after defeating Hong Kong’s Ho Tze Lokin the quarter-finals on Friday (Sept 25).
The world No. 5 took only 25 minutes to knock out the world No. 39 Tze Lok 11-8, 11-7, 11-8 at the Nagoya Kinjo Futo Arena.
Top seed Sivasangari will face fifth seed Chan Sin Yuk of Hong Kong in the semi-finals, which is a rematch of the Hangzhou Asian Games final where the Malaysian won.
Sin Yuk denied an all-Malaysian clash in the semis after she came from behind to oust Aira Azman, 10-12, 11-9, 11-5, 11-9 in the quarter-finals.
