PETALING JAYA: National top men's squash player Ng Eain Yow crashed out of the British Open in the second round after losing to France’s Victor Crouin on Sunday (June 1).
World No. 12 Eain Yow, who received a first-round bye, could not overcome world No. 14 Crouin, losing 11-13, 5-11, 7-11 in 58 minutes at the Diamond-level tournament.
It was an unexpected result as Eain Yow had never lost to the Frenchman in their previous three meetings.
Meanwhile, in the women's category, world No. 48 Noor Ainaa Amani Ampandi's run ended in the opening round, losing 6-11, 7-11, 7-11 to world No. 25 Sarah-Jane Perry of England.
