Ace Malaysia Cup: Sivasangari loses to Amina in final

PETALING JAYA: National top squash player S. Sivasangari faced a surprising defeat on home soil, losing to 17-year-old Amina Orfi of Egypt in the Ace Malaysia Cup final on Sunday (Nov 17).

World No. 10 Amina shocked the home favourite, securing her second professional title with scores of 8-11, 11-9, 12-10, 8-11, 11-6 at The Curve Mall.

Sivasangari was denied her second title of the year, having won the London Classic in April.

Amina's victory halted what could have been a flawless run for Sivasangari, as the Malaysian had not dropped a set throughout the tournament until the final.
