Another accomplishment for Nicol

Retired squash ace Datuk Nicol David is now the Pro Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University of Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: Retired squash ace Datuk Nicol David added another feather to her cap when she was appointed the Pro Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University of Malaysia today.

The eight-time former world champion described the appointment as a big honour for herself and the sporting community.

"This is truly an honour and privilege to be given this appointment as Pro Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University of Malaysia. To be recognized by the university on my accomplishments and seeing that I can share my experiences to inspire our youth really means a lot to me and I will do my very best to take on this role. "Thank you very much Heriot-Watt University for believing in me and I am very grateful for this opportunity to give back to our future through the university," she said.

Nicol will also be serving as the deputy chef de mission for Malaysian contingent for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
