PETALING JAYA: S. Sivasangari is just one match away from winning her first-ever title at the British Junior Open squash championships after surviving a thrilling semi-final in Sheffield on Sunday.

The top seeded Kedah girl was pushed to the limit by Egypt’s Amina Yousry, the joint third-fourth seed, before winning 7-11, 11-9, 13-11, 2-11, 16-14 in the Under-15 category. The 14-year-old will be all fired up to win the title. She reached the Under-15 final last year but lost to Egyptian sensation Habiba Mohamed.
