Sharp-shooter Johnathan fires gold again

BANGKOK: National pistol shooter Johnathan Wong successfully defended his SEA Games gold medal after winning in the men’s 10m air pistol event on Sunday (Dec 14). 

Olympian Johnathan showed precision to score 237.8 points in the final at the Thailand Sports Authority Shooting Range in Bang Kapi. 

He had won gold in the event when it was last held at the 2021 Hanoi SEA Games. 

The Philippines’ Michael Angelo Fernandez came in second with 236.2, while Indonesia’s Sulthanul Maruf took bronze with 218.1.
