PETALING JAYA: Emma Firyana Saroji’s historic women’s singles gold medal win for Malaysia in the Lawn Bowls World Cup at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara yesterday was the sweetest redemption for the 39-year-old policewoman.

Emma, who shed tears of joy after the match, said she got emotional as she needed to prove her worth after two years out of the national team due to injury.
